Ben Alsup beat the Augusta GreenJackets for the third time this season Saturday night at McCormick Field. The Tourists starting pitcher worked eight innings and allowed just two runs while striking out five. Alsup earned his ninth victory in the process.

For the first time all season, Trevor Story found his name in the lead-off spot in Joe Mikulik's line-up card. Story answered the bell in his first at-bat. The Tourists' DH blasted a Home Run off Paul Davis leading off the bottom of the first.

In the second, Jared Simon made it 2-0 with an RBI single to left. Alsup continued to chew up innings for Asheville and in the fifth, he watch the offense double the lead. Sam Mende, fresh off the disabled list, doubled with one out. The next batter, Will Swanner, left the yard for his 11th Home Run of the season.

Augusta did manage to plate a pair in the sixth. Jose Cuevas and Joe Staley delivered with back-to-back RBI doubles but Alsup was able to pop up Garrett Buechele to end the threat.

Jefri Hernandez worked the ninth for his 13th save of the season. Hernadez let two runners reach before inducing a game ending double-play off the bat of Myles Schroder.
