The Lorain County Baseball Coaches Association (LCBCA) was formed in 1991 with the intent of promoting baseball in Lorain County and establishing an all county system. Even before the coaches formed the association, senior baseball players had been recognized with their participation in an all-star game since at least 1980. The LCBCA made the game and the process more permanent by drafting bylaws for the selection of players, coaches and locations.
