
Alexi Amarista named Angels Offensive Player of the Month

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announced their Minor League Players of the Month and INF Alexi Amarista has been named Offensive Player of the Month for July.
In 27 games, Alexi posted a .376 BA (38-101) with eight doubles, four triples, two home runs and 15 RBI. He drew 11 walks, had a team-high four sacrifice hits, and struck out only six times resulting in a .442 on-base percentage.
It's the second time this year that Amarista has won an Angels Organizational Player of the Month award. He was named the Angels' Defensive Player of the Month for April.
The playoff-bound Kernels continue a nine game home stand through Friday, August 14th with four games against the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers starting Tuesday, August 11th.
