Grand Prairie, TX-----The Grand Prairie AirHogs rallied for three runs in the bottom of the ninth to defeat the Explorers 4-3 here Tuesday. The Explorers had a 3-1 lead going into the ninth inning when Chris Bodishbaugh came in relief of Nick Schumacher, who had pitched eight strong innings. Grand Prairie had five straight hits off Bodishbaugh with no one out. The final hit, an infield single by Chris McMurray with the winning run. Grand Prairie had taken a 1-0 lead in the second inning on a solo home run by Trent Lockwood, his 11th of the season. The Explorers came back and tied the game at 1-1 when Youske Inoguchi singled with two outs in fourth inning that scored Ray Serrano with the tieing run. Sioux City then took the lead 3-1 in the seventh inning scoring two runs without a hit. A walk, a sacrifice bunt, two AirHog errors and a fielders choice enable the Explorers to take the lead. That lead remained until the ninth inning when Grand Prairie scored three runs without an out being recorded. The second game of the three-game series will be Wednesday at QuikTrip Park in Grand Prairie with game time set for 7:05.
