On Tuesday night, Ryan Miller made 34 of his 42 saves over the final 40 minutes as Rochester moved back atop the North Division with a 5-1 win in ClevelandÂ… Jerred Smithson scored on MilwaukeeÂ’s only shot of the third period, giving the Admirals a 3-2 win in HoustonÂ… On Monday, Philadelphia scored three times in 4:44 during the third period to get by Albany, 3-2.

LOOKING AHEAD: A pair of teams looking to get back on the winning track meet for a pair of games this week, as Edmonton hosts Grand Rapids on Wednesday and Thursday… The Griffins, 3-10-0-1 in their last 14, find themselves just two points up in the race for the last playoff spot in the West Division… The Road Runners, who have scored 10 goals during their current 1-5-1-1 stretch, have dropped to fourth in the tough North Division… Martin St. Pierre has recorded three points in his first four AHL games for Edmonton… Joey MacDonald has won his last two starts in net for Grand Rapids – including a 46-save effort vs. Houston on Sunday – after an eight-game winless streak.

Winners of eight straight, Binghamton battles Providence at the Broome County Arena on WednesdayÂ… The Senators have rolled into first place in the East Division, with Jason Spezza recording 31 points in his last 14 games and Denis Hamel riding a 10-game scoring streakÂ… The Bruins have dropped four in a row, all by a single goalÂ… Keith Aucoin, who played part of his rookie 2001-02 in the UHL in Binghamton, has tallied 18 points in his last 15 games for the BÂ’sÂ… Providence won the teamsÂ’ first meeting this season, a 3-2 victory on Dec. 12 behind two Brad Boyes goals.

League-leading Manchester visits up-and-coming Lowell in an Atlantic Division showdown Wednesday nightÂ… The Lock Monsters saw their seven-game winning streak come to an end on Saturday, but are still 7-0-0-1 in their last eight on home ice and 3-1-0-1 against the Monarchs in 2004-05Â… LowellÂ’s Chuck Kobasew (6g, 2a) and Mike Zigomanis (5g, 3a) lead all scorers in the season seriesÂ… Eric Staal has a point in eight straight for the Lock Monsters (3g, 10a)Â… ManchesterÂ’s Mike Cammalleri is second in the AHL in scoring with 61 points, including five goals and six assists in his last six outingsÂ… Mathieu Garon is 10-4-1 with a 2.13 GAA and three shutouts away from home this year.
