
Aeros Take Series Opener From Thunder

AKRON -- The Akron Aeros pulled out a 4-3 win Tuesday night beating the Trenton Thunder at Canal Park. Asdrubal Cabrera scored on an error by Aarom Baldiris in the eighth inning to win the game for the Aeros
Trenton led 3-2 until the seventh when Michael Aubrey hit an RBI double to tie the game. Cabrera came up the next inning with two outs and hit a triple to right field. Jordan Brown was intentionally walked and then Brain Barton scored Cabrera on an error.
Nottingham started the game and pitched out of three bases loaded jams giving up two solo homers. Ness came in and pitched four innings giving up one run off a sacrifice fly. Warden and Newsom each sent down the batters they faced in order with Warden picking up the win and Newsom getting the save.
The Aeros will again host Trenton Wednesday night with a 7:05 start followed by a 12:05 game on Thursday. Chuck Lofgren will start for the Aeros tomorrow and Alan Horne will get the ball for Trenton.
