Aeros Fall 3-0 At Peoria

PEORIA, Ill. --- Matt McIlvane broke a scoreless deadlock 9:24 into the second period and Jake Allen made 22 saves as the Peoria Rivermen ended a six-game unbeaten-in-regulation streak for the Houston Aeros Saturday night at Carver Arena.

Derek Nesbitt and T.J. Hensick each had a goal and an assist for Peoria. After McIlvane scored in the second, the Rivermen added goals 3:41 apart in the second led by Nesbitt.

Houston's Anton Khudobin, who had a personal unbeaten-in-regulation streak of five games, made 21 saves in the loss.

The Aeros (6-6-1-2) close a five-game road trip Sunday at 3:05 p.m. in Peoria (9-5-0-1). Follow the action on 1070 KNTH and online at AEROS.COM.
