Admirals to Host Trick-or-Treating, Costume Contest on Halloween

NORFOLK - The Norfolk Admirals will host Trick-or-Treating and a costume contest on Halloween Night when the Admirals battle the Portland Pirates at Scope at 7:15 p.m.
"We will provide a safe and fun environment for kids to trick-or-treat this Halloween," said Admirals Vice President Joe Gregory. "Hosting a costume contest during the game will create another fun element to our game against the Pirates."
The Admirals will have tables set up throughout the Scope concourse where children may trick-or-treat. In addition, fans are encouraged to wear costumes to the game - especially if the costume goes with the Admirals versus Pirates nautical theme. There will be a costume contest held during intermissions with fan applause determining the contest winners from a group of finalists during the second intermission.
Current Admirals sponsors are encouraged to contact Gregory at (757) 640-1212 ext. 19 if they would like to participate by giving out candy for trick-or-treating. Sponsors will be provided with table space free of charge for the game.
The Admirals next square off against the Rockford IceHogs and Grand Rapids Griffins this weekend. The Admirals and IceHogs will face off for the first time in franchise history Friday at 8:30 p.m. and Saturday at 8:05 p.m. The Admirals and Griffins will meet Sunday afternoon at 4:00 p.m.
