
Amerks To Host Second Annual Sweets In The Suites

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans announced today that the organization will host its Second Annual "Sweets in the Suites" on Friday, October 31st. That night, the Amerks host the Toronto Marlies at 7:35 p.m. at The Blue Cross Arena at the Rochester War Memorial.
"Sweets in the Suites" is a one-night special ticket promotion designed to work in conjunction with the spirit of Halloween. Children 12 and under who arrive in costume will receive a free ticket to the game with the purchase of one adult ticket.
As part of the festivities, all children can trick or treat during the first intermission of the game up in the suite level and in the main concourse of The Blue Cross Arena.
During the game, there will be a costume contest for kids and adults with the winners taking home an Amerks' Prize Pack.
The first 5,000 fans that night will also take home an Amerks' magnet schedule, courtesy of M&T Bank.
Rochester's three-game weekend kicks off on Friday, October 24th as the Quad City Flames make their only trip of the season to The Blue Cross Arena. The 7:35 p.m. contest will be broadcast live on SportsRadio 1280 WHTK, whtk.com and AHL Live. The game will be the first of two scheduled meetings between the two teams this season. The Amerks will look for their first ever win against the Flames after falling in the only two meetings between the two teams last season. Quad City (1-3-1-0) is currently ranked seventh in the West Division.
The game is part of scout night. All Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts along with their families and friends can purchase discounted tickets to see the Amerks take on the Flames. Tickets can be purchased at $10.00 - $12.00 depending on seating arrangements. There will also be a parade on the ice for all scouts during the first intermission. In addition to Scout Night, its AAA discount night. All AAA members can bring their membership cards to The Blue Cross Arena Box Office to receive 100-End Seating for $12.00 each (Reg. Price $18.25) or 200-End Seating for $9.00 each (Reg. Price $14.25).
