Admirals to hold red and white scrimmage September 30th

NORFOLK, VA - Today, the Norfolk Admirals announced they will once again hold an inter-squad scrimmage game at Norfolk Scope. The scrimmage will take place on Friday, September 30th, at 6:00 p.m. and is open to the public, free of charge.

That evening, representatives from the American Red Cross and the Salvation Army will be on hand to collect monetary donations for the Hurricane Emergency Relief effort. The Admirals encourage all those locally who were involved in the relief effort to come out to Scope to enjoy the game that night.

An annual event during the Admirals' pre-season, the Red and White Scrimmage allows fans to get a sneak preview of the 2005-06 Admirals in action.

In addition, season ticket holders whose accounts are paid in full will have the opportunity to pick up their tickets that evening if they have not already done so.

The Admirals begin their sixth AHL campaign with a pair of home matches against East Division rival Bridgeport (NY Islanders) on Friday, October 7th and Saturday, October 8th at 7:15 p.m. each night. Norfolk's full schedule is available online at www.norfolkadmirals.com.

Individual tickets for all 40 regular season home games are now on sale and may be purchased at the Scope Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, online at www.ticketmaster.com or by calling (757) 671-8100.
