Orlando added another goal at 9:20 of the first period. Mathieu Foget shot the puck on net which was initially saved by Reichenbach. The rebound rested underneath the pad of Reichenbach and was pushed in the net by Alex Schoenborn to extend the Orlando lead to two goals.
Orlando would further extend their lead to three with a goal from Jonne Tammela. Brady Shaw was fed a pass from in the right corner from Corey Kalk to between the circles where the shot was tipped by Tammela as he beat Reichenbach under the arm to extend the Orlando lead to 3-0 at 11:18 of the first period.
Patrick D'Amico got Norfolk going on the power play. Norfolk gained control of the puck after a scrum along the wall in the right corner. Jalen Smereck passed the puck to the Avery Petersen at the top of the right circle. Petersen found D'Amico at the bottom of the right circle in the corner. D'Amico went to pass the puck back door to a wide-open Admirals player, but it hit off an Orlando skate and found the back of the net beating Corbin Boes five-hole to cut the Orlando lead to 3-1 at 14:35 of the first period.
Orlando extended their lead back to three goals with a tally from Corey Kalk. The Admirals turned the puck over at the red line which led to a two-on-one the other way for Orlando. Kalk skated into the Norfolk zone and fired a shot from in the left circle that beat Reichenbach between the legs to make the Orlando lead 4-1.
Norfolk cut the Orlando lead to two once again. Newcomer Brandon Rumble sprung Taylor Cammarata in on a rush into the Orlando end. With the assist, Rumble gets his first point in the ECHL as an Admiral.
Norfolk cut the Orlando lead to one with another power-play goal. T.J. Melancon gathered the puck in the left circle after exchanging passes with Jalen Smereck. T.J Melancon played the puck back to the point for Angeli who then played the puck into the middle of the ice for Nogard. Nogard just trying to deflect the puck into the corner, hit the puck up into the air and fluttered it over the right shoulder of Boes to cut the Orlando lead to 4-3.
Norfolk tied the game with another goal from Patrick D'Amico. Jalen Smereck gathered the puck at the red line and skated into the Orlando zone. Smereck went to drop the pass back to Ben Duffy, but it hit off his stick. The puck ricocheted right to D'Amico in the right circle, where he unloaded a laser and beat Boes to even the score at 4-4 at 10:20 of the second period.

Petersen passed the puck down low to Patrick D'Amico in the right circle. D'Amico fed the puck across the crease to a streaking Ben Duffy back door, who tapped it in to even the score at five at 5:56 of the third period.
Orlando scored in overtime and seal the win. After Cammarata hit the post in the Orlando end, it sprung a rush the other way for the Solar Bears. Brady Shaw skated into the Norfolk zone through the right circle and went from his backhand to his forehand and put the puck past Reichenbach to win the game for Orlando.
