NORFOLK, VA - The Tampa Bay Lightning, NHL parent club of the Norfolk Admirals, have returned goaltender Jonathan Boutin to the Admirals and have recalled goaltender Marc Denis from the Admirals on an emergency basis, Lightning Executive Vice President and General Manager Jay Feaster announced today.

Boutin, a 6-foot-2, 192-pound native of Granby, Québec, served as the backup goaltender in Tampa Bay's 3-1 win over Florida last night. He has appeared in 34 games with Norfolk this season, posting a 12-15-3 record with a 3.25 goals-against average and .902 save percentage. He leads the team in wins.

The third-year pro has appeared in 93 career American Hockey League games between Norfolk and the Springfield Falcons, going 29-44-6 with a 3.24 GAA and .899 SV%. He also has appeared in 21 ECHL games, all with the Johnstown Chiefs, notching an 8-11-2 record with a 2.95 GAA and .920 SV%. He was named to the ECHL All-Star Team in 2005-06.

Boutin was drafted in the third round (96th overall) of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. He spent four seasons in the Québec Major Junior Hockey League with the Halifax Mooseheads, Prince Edward Island Rocket, and Québec Remparts, compiling a 58-43-7 record with a 3.01 GAA and .895 SV%.

Denis, a 6-foot-1, 193-pound native of Montréal, Québec, is a veteran of 348 NHL games with the Lightning, Columbus Blue Jackets and Colorado Avalanche. He has compiled a 112-179-31 record with a 3.02 GAA and .902 SV% in his NHL career. This season with the Lightning, the 11th year pro has compiled a 1-5-0 record with a 4.05 GAA and .859 SV%.

Denis joined the Admirals at the end of December and has gone 9-15-2 in 28 games with Norfolk with a 3.09 GAA and .905 SV%. He was especially strong during March, going 4-4-0 with a 2.66 GAA and .930 SV% in nine games. In 127 career AHL games with Norfolk and the Hershey Bears, Denis is 46-61-11 with a 2.91 GAA and .907 SV%.

Denis was selected by Colorado in the first round (25th overall) of the 1995 NHL Entry Draft. Denis spent parts of three seasons with Colorado before being traded to Columbus during the 2000 off-season. He spent five seasons with the Blue Jackets and set a NHL record in 2002-03 when he played 4511 minutes.

The Admirals will continue their eight-game homestand this week with three games: Tonight versus the Hershey Bears (Washington Capitals) and Friday and Saturday against the Manchester Monarchs (Los Angeles Kings). All games begin at 7:15 p.m. at Norfolk Scope.
