Celebrity Broomball Game to Benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

Just when you thought it was safe to play broomball! The Peoria Rivermen announced today that a pair of star-studded broomball teams will take the ice at 1:30 pm prior to the team's game against the Houston Aeros, with tickets sold for that afternoon's game via the Rivermen front office benefiting the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Team St. Jude will feature local celebrities such as Mayor Jim Ardis, WEEK-TV's Lee Hall, and Dr. Chris Putnam; Team Rivermen boasts such stars as ESPN Radio's Doc and Kotter, former Rivermen legend Tyler Rennette, Peoria County Administrator Patrick Urich, and Anna Kinkade from 105.7 The X.

Fans may purchase tickets to the game by calling Lisa Broadhurst at (309) 680-3762 at $11 each, with proceeds going to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. For fans who already have tickets to the game but still wish to make a contribution, please call Wendy Mitchell at (309) 680-3763.
