Admirals Announce Roster Moves

Milwaukee, WI- Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled forward Ryan Jones from Milwaukee (AHL). The Predators have also reassigned goaltender Mark Dekanich to the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL and reassigned goaltender Jeremy Smith from Cincinnati to Milwaukee. In addition, the Admirals have recalled forward Matt Pierce from the Cyclones.

Jones played in eight of Nashville's first ten games in 2009-10, averaging 9:01 while being held pointless. He has accumulated four goals and an assist and 15 penalty minutes in 15 contests with Milwaukee this year after registering 22 points (13g-9a) in 25 games for the Admirals in 2008-09. The University of Miami alum had seven goals and ten assists in 46 games for the Preds last season as well.

Dekanich is 5-5-2 with a 2.78 goals against average and a.891 save percentage in 13 games with the Admirals this season. Last year the North Vancouver, BC native set Milwaukee franchise records with a.923 save percentage a 2.09 GAA while posting a 15-10-2 mark in his rookie campaign.

Smith has posted a 6-4-1 record with a 2.45 goals against average, a.903 save percentage, and one shutout in his first professional season. The Dearborn, MI native was Nashville's second-round pick (54th overall) in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

Pierce, who skated in the Admirals training camp, is average better than a point per game with the Cylcones. The Arnprior, ON native has 21 points (12g-9a) in 20 games to go along with four penalty minutes.

The Admirals are back on home ice this Friday night against the Texas Stars and on Saturday night versus the Manitoba Moose.
