
Lalime Accepts Conditioning Assignment

Buffalo, NY - Buffalo Sabres General Manager Darcy Regier announced today that goaltender Patrick Lalime has agreed to a two-game conditioning assignment with the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League. Lalime will play Friday and Saturday (both vs. Providence) with the Pirates, and will return to the Sabres on Sunday.
In three games played this season Lalime is 0-2-0-0 with a 4.55 goals against average and an.836 save percentage. The 35 year-old has played 424 NHL games (with Buffalo, Chicago, St. Louis, Ottawa and Pittsburgh) posting a record of 196-163-40-14 with a 2.58 goals against average and a.904 save percentage.
Pirates goaltender Jhonas Enroth has been recalled from Portland, and will be in uniform as the backup for tonight's game vs. Montreal. Enroth is coming off his most impressive performance of the season, stopping 39 shots in a 2-0 road victory over the Manchester Monarchs on Wednesday. On the season the second year goaltender is 7-7-1-0 with a 3.29 goals against average and an.894 save percentage.
The next Portland home game will take place tomorrow (Friday) in Lewiston at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee against the Providence Bruins at 7 p.m. Purchase a ticket for the game and receive a free ticket to a future Pirates game.
