B-Sens Sign Left Wing Gratchev

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators announced today that they have signed left wing Max Gratchev to a professional try-out contract.

Gratchev, 21, has appeared in 17 games with the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL this season where he has recorded seven goals and 14 assists for 21 points.

Gratchev appeared in two pre-season games with the B-Sens where he recorded three goals and two assists for five points. This is his second regular season stint with the B-Sens. Gratchev last saw action Nov. 28 in Binghamton's 5-0 win over the Rochester Americans.

Gratchev spent 2008-09 with the Lewiston MAINEiacs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League where he recorded 30 goals and 31 assists for 61 points in 64 games played. Gratchev also appeared in one game with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League, recording two penalty minutes in the game.

The Russian born left wing was the fourth round pick of the New York Islanders (106 overall) in the 2007 National Hockey League entry draft.

The Binghamton Senators will host the Syracuse Crunch tomorrow at 7:05 p.m. Tickets are $17.75 for side seating, $16.75 for end seating.
