Adams Placed on DL/INF Mahoney Transferred to Trenton

(TRENTON NJ) The Trenton Thunder, Double A Affiliate of the New York Yankees, announced today that they have put INF David Adams on the seven day disabled list (ankle) and have received INF Kevin Mahoney from Single-A Tampa.

Adams, 23, injured himself while sliding into second base during Saturday's doubleheader in Portland. Adams is batting .309 in 2010, with 3 home runs and 32 RBI. His 15 doubles rank at the top of the Eastern League.

Mahoney, 23, was drafted by the Yankees in the 23rd round of the 2009 June Draft. In three games with Single-A Tampa, he was 2-for-5 with two doubles. Mahoney played his college ball at Canisius.

The Thunder play game two of their four game series against the Erie Sea Wolves on Tuesday at 10:35 AM at Waterfront Park. RHP Lance Pendleton starts for the Thunder, while Erie starts Thad Weber.
