
Adams and Brewer Promoted to Tampa

CHARLESTON, SC - The New York Yankees announced Monday that RiverDogs infielder David Adams and South Atlantic League All-Star outfielder Dan Brewer have been promoted to Class-A Advanced Tampa. Taking their place on the active roster will be former RiverDogs infielder Garrison Lassiter and outfielder Tommy Baldridge, who join the RiverDogs after being transferred from short-season Staten Island.
Adams is second in the South Atlantic League and leads the team with 23 doubles while playing stellar defense at second and third base. He leaves the "Holy City" with a .290 (75x259) batting average, 32 runs, two triples and 34 RBI. The University of Virgina product also slugged .394 in addition to a .385 on-base percentage in 67 games with Charleston.
Brewer gives the Tampa Yankees an All-Star designated hitter as the Bradley University product leads the team in batting average at .323 to go along with 38 runs, 18 doubles, three triples and 25 RBI through 58 games with the RiverDogs.
Lassiter joins the RiverDogs after departing in early may due to an injury that placed him on the disabled list in early May. In 24 games with Charleston the High Point, NC native has a .271 batting average (19x70) with two doubles, one triple and 10 RBI.
Baldridge also rejoins the RiverDogs after a brief stint with the SI Yankees. The Fort Mill, SC native has played 10 games with Charleston in 2009 and has a .100 batting average. The 6-1 outfielder has also has played in 17 games with Class-A Advanced Tampa and collected a .204 (10x49) batting average with two doubles.
