Reno Aces News Release
RENO, Nev.-As the 2010 campaign nears a close, the Reno Aces Baseball Club will celebrate a record-setting season with Fan Appreciation Week on Aug. 30-Sept. 2, the organization announced today.
The second season of Pacific Coast League baseball in Reno proved to be the organization's most successful, with already more than 400,000 fans passing through the turnstiles and nearly 60,000 fans enjoying the Aces' home games from the ever-popular Freight House District-Reno's newest year-round dining and entertainment district.
As a gesture of the organization's appreciation to its loyal and passionate fan base for such a successful season, the club has planned a number of special promotions for the final homestand of 2010-a four-game set against the Portland Beavers, Triple-A Affiliate of the San Diego Padres.
For all four games of the series, the Aces will offer fans 2-for-1 tickets in the Outfield Reserved, Right-Field Reserved and General Admission seating sections. Pre-sale for the final homestand has been brisk, so fans are encouraged to buy their tickets in advance to take advantage of this special 2-for-1 promotion. Additionally, all merchandise at the Aces Team Shop will be marked down by 20 percent for the entire four-game homestand.
On Monday, the Aces will commemorate the beginning of the new school year with a special University of Nevada Tailgate in the Freight House District. Tickets are just $10 at the Aces Ballpark Box Office with a valid student ID, and include a hot dog, chips and soda at the tailgate-in addition to a ticket to that night's game. The festivities begin at 5:30 p.m.
Tuesday's game will feature the return of 50-cent hot dogs to the ballpark. Just a few bucks will feed the whole family in the final edition of the 2010 season for this popular promotion.
On Wednesday, 2,500 Aces fans will be rewarded with an Aces Collector's Hat, courtesy of Eldorado, Silver Legacy and KRNV.
The 2010 home season will come to a close on Thursday, Sept. 2 with a 7:05 p.m. contest. Fan Appreciation Night will include giveaways throughout the game for randomly selected rows and sections at Aces Ballpark. Additionally, the finale marks another Coors Light Thirsty Thursday-with beer specials in the ballpark and at the Freight House District-and the Aces will go out with a bang with the final fireworks extravaganza of the season.
Tickets for the final homestand of the 2010 season are available now by calling the Reno Aces box office at (775) 334-7000 or by visiting RenoAces.com. The brand-new Freight House District, located just outside Aces Ballpark, is open seven days a week, on both game days and non-game days.
