
Aces Sign Forward Jacques Lamoureux

The Alaska Aces have signed forward Jacques Lamoureux, Aces Head Coach Rob Murray announced on Friday. Lamoureux joins the Aces immediately and is expected to be in the lineup on Friday night when Alaska host the Utah Grizzlies. The Aces continue their six-game home stand this weekend with a pair of games against Utah. Tickets are on sale for both games. Lamoureux, 25, is a rookie who will make his season debut this year after completing an impressive collegiate career at the Air Force Academy. In three years for the Air Force, Lamoureux had 139 points (79g, 60a). He was named to the All-Atlantic Hockey Association first team in his last two seasons at the Air Force. As a sophomore, Lamoureux had 33 goals to lead the nation in both overall and power play goal scoring (15). He finished the season as a Hobey Baker Finalist. Last year Lamoureux was named the Lowes Senior Class Award Winner. The Award is presented annually to the most outstanding student-athlete in Division I hockey. The 6'1", 190 lbs. Grand Forks, ND product joined the Aces as an amateur for two road games in Victoria on March 30th and April 1st. Jacques is the younger brother of former Aces Goaltender of the Year, J.P. Lamoureux. Lamoureux currently remains in service with the Air Force.
