Aces Captain Nick Mazzolini Selected to ECHL Fantasy Team

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - The Alaska Aces announced today that captain and center Nick Mazzolini has been selected to the 2013-14 ECHL Fantasy Team, presented by The MeiGray Group.
Mazzolini, 29, was selected by online vote, available to fans on ECHL.com to wear a special ECHL Fantasy Team jersey scheduled for tomorrow's game at Sullivan Arena, when the Aces host the Las Vegas Wranglers at 7:15 p.m. (GCI/KFQD). The starting goaltender will also participate in the MeiGray Goaltender Program, where the goaltender starting tomorrow's game will also wear the special jersey.
Mazzolini and goaltender specialty jerseys will be American-flag themed in support of the USA Hockey team at the upcoming 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.
Following tomorrow's game, each jersey worn by Mazzolini and the goaltender will be available for bid through The MeiGray Group. Jerseys will be available for bid starting Monday, Jan. 20 through Monday, Feb. 10.
Mazzolini, a native of Anchorage and in his first season as Aces captain, is third in team scoring with 26 points (10g-16a) in 34 games and is tied for second with 10 goals. The 6-foot-2, 209 pound pivot has 217 points in 234 career ECHL games and skated for the last two Aces teams (2011-13) that captured the Brabham Cup for the league's top regular season record.
