Mavericks Trade for Defenseman Martin Lee

Independence, MO (October 28, 2014) - The Missouri Mavericks have announced that the club has acquired defenseman Martin Lee from the Cincinnati Cyclones in exchange for future considerations.

This marks the second defenseman acquisition for the Mavs in two days after they traded for Alex Lepkowski on Monday (acquired from Greenville for future considerations).

The Toronto, Ontario native has played 97 career ECHL games (2012-14) with 89 of those games coming with the Utah Grizzlies (also played eight games with San Francisco). During his professional career, the 6-4, 225-pound defenseman has scored four goals with 26 assists and carries a +19 plus/minus rating. Lee has also collected one assist in nine career ECHL playoff games.

Prior to turning pro, the 25-year-old played four years at Elmira College posting 52 points (8-4452) in 99 collegiate games.
