ECHL Announces Fines, Suspensions

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Tuesday announced the following fines and suspensions.

Elmira's Conboy suspended two additional games

Elmira's Andrew Conboy has been suspended for two additional games as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #22, Reading at Elmira, on Oct. 24.

Conboy suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline as a result of his actions at 19:59 of the second period.

Conboy missed Elmira's games at Reading on Oct. 25 and Oct. 26 and will miss his team's games against Brampton on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1.

Quad City's Fiddler fined, suspended

Quad City's Todd Fiddler has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #762, Rapid City at Quad City, on Oct. 25.

Fiddler was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for kneeing under Rule #50.5 at 1:46 of the third period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Fiddler will miss Quad City's game at Rapid City tonight (Oct. 28).

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Brampton's Darrigo fined, suspended

Brampton's Andrew Darrigo has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount as the result of his actions in ECHL Game #764, Toledo at Brampton, on Oct. 26.

Darrigo was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for slashing under Rule #61.5 at 12:00 of the second period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Darrigo will miss Brampton's games at Elmira on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
