TONIGHT:

The Ontario Reign (3-2-0-0) will travel north to take on the Bakersfield Condors (3-3-0-0). This is the second match in three days (and second of four consecutive games) between these two clubs. Josh Winquist is the leading scorer in the series, with two goals on Sunday.

SECOND PERIOD STRENGTH:

From a goals-for/goals-against perspective, the Reign have performed their best in the second period this season, with a season-high eight goals in the middle frame, while only surrendering two goals so far.

OUT FOR THE KILL:

Despite dropping the last two matches at home, Ontario remains perfect on the penalty kill, successfully preventing opponents from capitalizing with the man-advantage on 21 consecutive chances since the start of the season.

STRONG IN GOAL:

Despite some offensive struggles this past weekend, the Reign can take some solace in the fact that their team goals-against average still ranks third in the league. Consistent play by goalies Joe Cannata and Jussi Olkinuora will continue to be a source of strength for the club.

FIRST ON THE BOARD:

The Reign are tied for the top spot in the ECHL with a win percentage of 1.000 when scoring first, as they have scored three first goals on the season; when leading after the opening period, Ontario possesses an identical 3-0-0-0 record.

ROAD COOKING:

While he has yet to light the lamp at home, Maxim Kitsyn carries an active three-game road goal scoring streak into tonight's match. The 2010 LA Kings draft pick also leads the team with 18 shots on goal for the season.
