Rampage Release Bina From PTO

SAN ANTONIO (December 7, 2009) - San Antonio Rampage General Manager Brad Treliving announced today that the American Hockey League (AHL) club has released defenseman Robbie Bina from his Professional Tryout contract (PTO).

Bina, 26, appeared in two games with the Rampage collecting an assist and posting four shots on goal. Prior to signing a PTO with the Rampage on November 17, Bina recorded 14 points (3 goals, 11 assists) in 14 games with the Las Vegas Wranglers (ECHL) this season.

The Grand Forks, North Dakota native split the 2008-09 season with the Springfield Falcons (AHL) and the Stockton Thunder (ECHL) collecting one goal and seven assists with each team in 28 and 37 games, respectively. He also appeared in 14 post-season games with the Thunder in 2008-09 recording two goals and four assists.

The Rampage visit the Grand Rapids Griffins this Wednesday for a 6 p.m. (CDT) matchup at Van Andel Arena before making a Midwest sweep with stops in Milwaukee and Peoria to round out the week.
