Frisco, TX - A ninth inning rally fell just short as the Arkansas Travelers dropped a 5-4 decision to the Frisco RoughRiders on Monday night. The Travs were down to their last strike and in danger of being shutout but ended up getting the tying run to home plate. Frisco jumped out early with two in the second and three more in the third. Starter Edgar Arredondo pitched five shutout innings for them to get the victory while Jake Lemoine picked up the save after being summoned to record the final out. Ricardo Sanchez was the losing pitcher but finished his night with three scoreless innings after the early damage.

* Arkansas had two on and none out to open the game but three straight strikeouts kept the Travs off the board in the opening inning.
* In the ninth, Kyle Lewis scored a wild pitch and Nick Zammarelli blasted a three-run homer to right field to cut the deficit to just one.
