FRISCO, Texas - An early burst at the plate catalyzed a 5-4 win for the RoughRiders over Arkansas Monday night.

SYNOPSIS

* After taking a 2-0 lead in the second on a homer from Ryan Dorow, the club added three more runs in the third, including the second Double-A home run for Leody Taveras.

* Starter Edgar Arredondo tossed five scoreless innings, allowing just four hits and striking out six, to earn the win.

KEY RIDERS PERFORMERS

* Edgar Arredondo: 5 IP, 4 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 6 K (W)

* Leody Taveras: 1-for-3, HR, RBI, BB

* Ryan Dorow: 1-for-4, HR, 2 RBI

NEWS AND NOTES

* With Arredondo's five scoreless innings Monday, Riders starting pitchers now have a collective 1.28 ERA in the last 13 games.
