Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Idaho Steelheads 2-1 on Saturday night in front of 7,295 fans at the Orleans Arena. Left wing Shawn Limpright scored the game-winning goal at 13:14 of the third period to propel the Wranglers to victory. Wranglers forward Matt Dzieduszycki scored his 27th goal of the season as Las Vegas improved to 22-2-3 at home this season. Goalie Marc Magliarditi made 35 saves, improving to 26-7-5. With the Wranglers win and a Phoenix loss to Long Beach, the Wranglers clinched a Kelly Cup playoff berth. The Wranglers play in Fresno Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at the Save Mart Center.

In the first period, Dan Hacker scored on the power-play at 10:50 of the period giving the Steelheads a 1-0 lead. In the second period, Wranglers forward Matt Dzieduszycki scored short-handed with 1:11 remaining in the period to tie the game at one.

The game stayed tied at one until 13:14 of the third period when Shawn Limpright gave the Wranglers the lead with his 6th goal of the season.

The Wranglers will embark on a season-long nine-game road trip with stops in Fresno, San Diego, Victoria and Phoenix. Las Vegas will return on March 17th to host the Alaska Aces for a three-game series.
