Cory Murphy Resting at Home after Successful Surgery
February 26, 2006 - ECHL (ECHL)
Fresno Falcons News Release
FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno Falcons defenseman Cory Murphy, who broke his leg and dislocated his ankle on Friday during a game against the Bakersfield Condors, had successful surgery yesterday to repair his injuries and has returned home from St. Agnes Medical Center. The initial prognosis is that the injuries are expected to keep Murphy out of the Falcons line-up for eight weeks.
EXCHANGE FRIDAY'S TICKET STUB FOR A FUTURE FALCONS GAME AND THE MAKE-UP DATE
Fans that attended Friday's game, which was postponed as a result of Murphy's injury due to unsafe ice conditions at Save Mart Center, may redeem their ticket stub for a ticket to Fresno's next home game on Tuesday, Feb. 28, against the Las Vegas Wranglers OR any future Falcons regular season home game. Fans will also receive a voucher for the make-up game between the Falcons and Condors on a date to be determined. THE TICKET EXCHANGE IS ONLY AVAILABLE AT SAVE MART CENTER'S BOX OFFICE BEGINNING ON MONDAY, FEB. 27, AT 9:30 A.M.
REFUND POLICY FOR FRIDAY'S POSTPONED GAME
If fans decide not to exchange their tickets to Friday's game for two future Falcons regular season games, they may instead receive a full refund for their paid tickets. Beginning on Wednesday, March 1, at 9:30 a.m., fans must take their Feb. 24th paid ticket stub to their original point of purchase and request the refund.
For more information regarding the ticket exchange at Save Mart Center's box office or ticket refunds, please contact the Falcons offices at (559) 485-PUCK (7825).
A victory or even an overtime/shootout loss tomorrow in their next game against the Condors in Bakersfield at Rabobank Arena, the Falcons will clinch their first-ever Kelly Cup playoff berth since joining the ECHL. The game can be heard live on 1550 Sporting News Radio beginning at 6:45 p.m. with the FutureTek Pre-game Show. Fans may also view the game online courtesy of B2 Networks, which can be accessed via the Falcons home page at www.fresnofalcons.com.
The Falcons then return home on Tuesday to battle the Las Vegas Wranglers at Save Mart Center at 7 p.m. The team will be wearing Mardi Gras jerseys, which will be auctioned off following the game with a portion of the proceeds to benefit Hinds Hospice. The game is also a Carl's Jr. Two-for-Tuesday, with two-for-one coupons available at participating Carl's Jr. locations.
Individual tickets for Tuesday's game against Las Vegas are on sale now at all Ticketmaster outlets and Save Mart Center's box office with prices ranging from $8 - $22.
