67's Take on Wolves in Sudbury
January 28, 2022 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Ottawa 67's News Release
A Northern road swing kicks off, tonight, for the Ottawa 67's, with a visit to the Sudbury Wolves. Puckdrop is set for 7:05m EST, and Barber Poles fans can watch live on CHLTV and RogersTV Ottawa. As always, Kenny Walls has the radio call on TSN 1200.
Ottawa was in Hamilton on Wednesday, for a matchup with the Bulldogs. Jack Matier and Thomas Johnston scored in the effort, and Alex Johnston notched a pair of assists, but the Bulldogs were able to double up the Barber Poles, and hand them a 4-2 defeat.
The Wolves' last game was also on Wednesday, where they found themselves on the wrong end of a 9-1 defeat at home. The Barrie Colts received goals from nine different scorers, and Nick DeGrazia got one back for Sudbury, to avoid the shutout.
These two teams last faced off on January 15, from The Arena at TD Place. Luca Pinelli, Alex Johnston, Will Gerrior, and Matier scored in regulation, before Cam Tolnai potted the shootout winner, and Max Donoso earned his first OHL win, 5-4.
Of note for the 67's, Tyler Boucher - 10th overall pick of the Ottawa Senators this summer - is expected to make his OHL debut, tonight, after joining the 67's to begin the new year.
