Ottawa 67's News Release

(Ottawa ON.): The Ottawa 67's today announced that 16 year old defenceman Cody Ceci, a native of Orleans, was their first pick (16th overall) in the 2009 OHL Priority Selection Draft. Ceci, a 6' 2", 188 lb RD, played last season for the Peterborough Petes Minor Midgets, where he racked up 24 goals and 72 points in 57 games.

Coach Chris Byrne described Ceci as " a skilled player player with very good hockey sense, and I'm looking forward to seeing him on the ice in training camp with our veterans at the end of August."

Six players from the previous year's priority selection draft, led by first-rounder Tyler Toffoli, cracked the 67's roster last season.
