
51s Return Home Friday-Final Four Games

LAS VEGAS: The Las Vegas 51s of the Pacific Coast League (PCL), Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers, will return home for the final four games of the 2003 season at Cashman Field, beginning on Friday, Aug. 29, at 7:10 p.m. against the Sacramento River Cats, Triple-A affiliate of the Oakland A's. The River Cats, winners of the South Division, have the best record in the league with an 89-49 (.645) mark. The four-game series will also feature a 7:10 p.m. game on Saturday, Aug. 30, and back-to-back day games on Sunday, Aug. 31 at 12:30 p.m. and Labor Day on Monday, Sept. 1 at 1:30 p.m.
The 51s are currently on a 10-game road trip through Northern California. The road trip will conclude tomorrow night against Fresno. The 51s are 72-64 (.529) and have the third best record in the league. The 51s have guaranteed an over .500 season for the second straight campaign and two out of the last three seasons since being the top affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Fan Appreciation Night, along with the final Fireworks Spectacular, will be presented on Saturday night. The presentation of the Mayor's Trophy (MVP of the team as voted by the fans), MVP Position Player, MVP Pitcher and Community Service Award will also be announced after the game. The annual Guns & Hoses Charity Baseball Game will be played Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Cashman Field. The gates will open at 1 p.m. Tickets for the final home stand can be purchased at the Cashman Field box office. Tickets can also be purchased through TicketMaster (474-4000, www.ticketmaster.com). TicketMaster outlets are located at Smith's Food & Drug, Tower Records and Nellis Air Force Base.
The individual game tickets are priced at $6.00 (general admission), $7.00 (reserved), $8.00 (plaza) and $10 (field). A $2 off Military discount is offered on reserved, plaza and general admission tickets.
