Sox Fall 6-0 to Cubs; Remain 1 Game Out of First

The Sky Sox lost their 3rd straight game Tuesday night 6-0 to the Iowa Cubs, but still remain 1-game behind Albuquerque for the PCL Central lead. The Sky Sox offense continued to struggle in Iowa leaving 14 men on base after producing only 8 hits. Randy Flores started for the Sox pitching 5 innings giving up 6 runs, 5 earned, on 8 hits while striking out 3 and walking 6. The Sox and Cubs meet again tonight with the Sox sending Nelson Cruz (0-1, 4.50) to the bump against the Cubs Alan Benes (7-6, 5.04).

HR: Cubs- Frese (6).
SB: Sky Sox- Newhan, Cubs- Hubbard, Leon, Hiatt.
