NASHVILLE, Tennessee -- Tomas de la Rosa was two for four with a home run to lead the Nashville Sounds (77-61) to a 6 to 4 victory over the New Orleans Zephyrs (69-70) on Wednesday Afternoon in Nashville.

De la Rosa hits his fourth home run of the season in the second inning off Zephyrs starting pitcher D.J. Houlton to make the score 2 to 0. New Orleans countered with three runs in the top of the third off Sounds starting pitcher Matt Guerrier. Colin Porter had a two run double in the inning. Nashville answered with three in the bottom of third off Houlton.

That's all the Sounds would need as Guerrier (4-6) picked up the win pitching six innings allowing four runs on six hits while striking out six. Former Zephyr Jim Mann pitched 1 1/3 innings of hitless relief to pick up his fourth save of the season. Houlton (3-3) suffered the loss allowing five runs, three earned, in five innings of work. Porter finished 3-3 on the day as the Z's fell below .500 for the first time since April 27th.

The series with the Sounds concludes on Thursday at 7:00 PM. Pete Munro (0-3, 5.40) is scheduled to start for the Zephyrs and Dave Williams (6-4, 4.61) for the Sounds. The game can be heard on WTIX-AM 690 and at www.zephyrsbaseball.com with Tim Grubbs calling the action.
