4th Annual Pink In The Rink Game Saturday

West Valley City, Utah - The Utah Grizzlies will host their fourth annual "Pink in the Rink" game for breast cancer awareness Saturday when they host the Idaho Steelheads at the E-Center at 7:05 p.m.

The game will again be played on pink ice and the Grizzlies will be wearing pink jerseys that will be auctioned off live after the game.

The Grizzlies have raised over $45,000 the past three years in their post-game pink jersey auctions; raising over $12,000 in 2006, over $15,000 in 2007 and over $18,000 in 2008.

The Grizzlies are 3-0 in "Pink in the Rink" games with all games being come from behind wins in shootouts.

Utah hosts the Steelheads Friday for opening night at the E-Center at 7:05 p.m.

Utah enters their fifth year in the ECHL and their third-straight season as an affiliate of the New York Islanders. On September 16, 2009 the Grizzlies announced that they will also be adding up to four prospects this season from the Calgary Flames. Head Coach Kevin Colley returns to the Utah bench this upcoming season after signing a multi-year contract extension on April 20, 2009. Colley, who at the age of 30 is the youngest coach in the ECHL, led the Grizzlies to the playoffs for the third time in four years during his rookie head coaching campaign.
