Victoria's Painchaud Suspended Two Games, Fined

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL announced that it has suspended Victoria left wing Chad Painchaud for two games and fined him an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #22 at Alaska on Oct. 19.

Following the conclusion of the second period, Painchaud was assessed a major penalty for fighting and a Game Misconduct under Rule 47.6 - Secondary Altercation.

He is suspended and fined under Rule 29 - Supplemental Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Painchaud will miss Victoria's games against Bakersfield (Oct. 21 and 23).
