
$25K Shot To Highlight Three Game Weekend

BRIDGEPORT, CT â The American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, the top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, will play three games in as many nights this weekend. The Sound Tigers will visit the Lowell Lock Monsters tomorrow at 7 p.m. They will return home to host the Philadelphia Phantoms Saturday at 7:05 p.m. and the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins Sunday at 4:05 p.m. at Bridgeport's Arena at Harbor Yard. All three games will be broadcast live on 600 WICC-AM and at www.soundtigers.com.
This weekend will be "Scout Appreciation Weekend" with special ticket prices for all scouts and their families. In addition, every scout who attends either game in uniform will receive a special Sound Tigers Scout Patch while supplies last. All packs, troops, etc. that purchase tickets in advance will also be recognized on the arena's video-display boards and public-address system. And, Cub Scout Pack 261 from Trumbull will present the colors prior to Saturday's game.
All fans who attend this Saturday's game will have a chance to shoot for $25,000. Fans can register at the 95.9 "The Fox" table on the arena concourse Saturday night, and five registrants will be brought on to the ice, along with five fans chosen in advance by 95.9 "The Fox", for a chance to shoot for $25,000. In addition, the fans who are brought on to the ice will have an opportunity to win a hot tub.
Saturday will also be "Fairfield Appreciation Night" and "Police & Firefighter Appreciation Night" with special ticket prices for Fairfield Town residents, as well as police officers and firefighters and their families. Members of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Fairfield will sing the national anthem prior to Saturday's game. All police and fire departments that purchase their tickets in advance will also be recognized on the arena's video-display boards and public-address system.
Martin Kariya will be signing autographs on the arena concourse after Saturday's game. Jeff Hamilton, the Sound Tigers' leading scorer, will be signing autographs on the concourse after Sunday's game.
Steiner Talent will give the first of five Sound Tigers card sets to the first 2,000 fans who enter Sunday's game or while supplies last.
Sound Tigers individual-game tickets are on sale at the Harbor Yard box office Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., Saturday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and on all game days, as well as on-line at www.ticketmaster.com or by calling Ticketmaster at 203-368-1000.
