November 13, 2003 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Milwaukee Admirals News Release

Milwaukee Admirals Executive Vice President/General Manager Phil Wittliff announced today that Kyle Schultz has been named the radio voice of the Milwaukee Admirals.

Schultz returns to his hometown to begin his 10th season of professional hockey play-by-play when he makes his debut this Friday night, November 14 versus the Grand Rapids Griffins

"Kyle Schultz is a Milwaukee native, who will bring a tremendous amount of energy to his broadcasts," said Phil Wittliff. "The Admirals organization and the fans will certainly miss Brian Manthey, but we'll feel that with the addition of a veteran like Kyle Schultz we won't miss a beat."

Schultz spent the past two seasons as the Assistant General Manager and voice of the Augusta (ECHL) Lynx. Prior to Augusta, Schultz called the action for six seasons in Tallahassee, FL as the inaugural voice of the Tallahassee (ECHL) Tiger Sharks. During the 1995-96 season, he did play-by-play for the International Hockey League's Turner Cup Champion Utah Grizzles.

Schultz actually made his "on-air" radio debut back in 1993 right here in Milwaukee, handling sports udates for Milwaukee's Public Radio Station WYMS. The graduate of Kettle Moraine High School and the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse now resides in Hartland, Wisconsin with his wife Allison and their 3-year old son Tanner.

All Admirals games both at home or on the road can be heard on JOY 1340 AM or via the internet at www.sportsjuice .com.
