2015-16 Schedule Announced

Mississauga, ON - The Mississauga Steelheads are gearing up for another thrilling season of OHL hockey following today's official release of the 2015-2016 regular season schedule. Fans can look forward to action packed, Hardworking Hockey all season long at the Hershey Centre.

The Steelheads will kick off their season against former OHL 1st overall pick and 2015 NHL draft eligible, Travis Konecny as the Steelheads take on the visiting Ottawa 67's on Friday September 25th at the Hershey Centre. Steelheads fans will get their first taste of Owen Tippett in the home opener, the Steelheads first round selection, fourth overall at the 2015 OHL Priority Selection who recently signed with the team. The Steelheads then head north to open their road schedule on Sunday September 27th in Sudbury as they take on this season's 1st overall pick, David Levin and the Wolves.

Some new rivalries will emerge this season with two news franchises set to begin play in 2015. The Steelheads will get their first look at Flint (Firebirds) at home on Friday, October 4th and Hamilton (Bulldogs) for the annual School Day Game on Wednesday, November 18th.

Fans will have to wait to get their crack at the defending Memorial Cup Champions, the Oshawa Generals as they do not make their first visit to the Hershey Centre until Friday March 4th. The Steelheads will also host the Generals for a March Break game on Wednesday, March 16th.
