OHL Announces 2015-16 Season Schedule

Erie, Pennsylvania - The Ontario Hockey League announced its schedule for the 2015-16 season, featuring the Erie Otters opening the OHL campaign on Thursday, September 24th, visiting the Windsor Spitfires at 7:05.

The Otters open up the year with a two-day road trip with the opener in Windsor followed by a stop at the RBC Center the next night to play last postseason's first found matchup, the Sarnia Sting. Erie will host the Flint Firebirds for their first ever meeting in the home opener Saturday, October 3 at the Erie Insurance Arena.

Erie will host a season high six straight home dates starting Saturday, October 31 against the Sarnia Sting and closing Saturday, November 14 when the London Knights make their first visit to the Erie Insurance Arena.

The Otters will take to the road for their longest road swing of four games that runs from November 15 to November 22 featuring stops in Kitchener, Niagara, Saginaw and Flint.

Erie's schedule includes 29 sets of back-to-back games, starting with opening week Thursday in Windsor and Friday in Sarnia. The Otters also have six sets of three games in three nights as part of their schedule.

- School Day game Wednesday, December 3, against the Guelph Storm at 11am

- New Year's Eve game Thursday, December 31, against the Ottawa 67's
