Jacksonville, FL - the Jacksonville Icemen return after a successful road trip, and dropped a 5-1 game to the league leading Florida Everblades in front of 11,288 Icemen fans. The crowd set a record for the most fans to ever watch a hockey game in Jacksonville, FL.
The Icemen opened the scoring when Eli Lichtenwald sent one to the back of the net. After that, the Everblades scored five unanswered goals. The goals game from Platzer, McCarron (2), and Cox (2).
The Icemen continue the series in Estero, FL on Tuesday, January 29th. The Icemen return home on Friday, February 1st and Saturday, February 2nd for Faith and Family weekend featuring a postgame concert by Christian rock stars Building 429 on 2/1.
