Woodchucks Select Aspirus Kid of the Year

August 29, 2024 - Wausau, WI - The Wausau Woodchucks are proud to announce that Skyler Cisewski, the Aspirus Kid of the Month from April, has been named the Aspirus Kid of the Year. Skyler was selected for her very active involvement in the community. She has been the County 4-H Ambassador and has served as club treasurer and on several planning committees. She also volunteers for the Harvest Picnic for Special Needs and at the local senior center with the residents, all while continuing to do well in school. ... Full Story

Chucks' Incredible Record-Breaking Season Comes to an End

August 13, 2024 - Wausau, WI - The Chucks record-setting season comes to a heartbreaking end tonight against the Madison Mallards at home, 8-3. Jake Molloy (Keiser) made his first NWL playoff start tonight for the Woodchucks. Molloy went 2.1 innings pitched, throwing just 25 pitches. He was replaced by Carsen Plumadore (Georgia Southwestern State) in the 3rd. Plumadore threw 4 strikeouts and allowed just 1 earned run. Woodchucks Drop Game Two - Tie Breaker Tomorrow

August 12, 2024 - Wausau, WI - The Woodchucks fall in game 2 of the Sub-Divisional series, 8-5 to the Madison Mallards. Brayden Marks (Bradley University) made his first career playoff start in the NWL today, starting on the mound against the Madison Mallards. He went 4.0 innings with an appearance in the 5th, striking out one and allowing just six hits. Garrett Brogdon (Simpson University) took over in the 6th. August 11, 2024 - The Chucks played their first playoff game in Madison, coming away with a win 5-1. The Chucks will need to win one more game to advance in the playoffs. The Chucks sent Travis Lutz (Bradley U) to start the game from the mound. In his second start in Madison, he pitched a scoreless first two innings. There wasn't a run from either team through the first two. To break the tie at zero, Jake Berkland (Mankato) hit his first career home run to put the Chucks up 3-0. Lutz would continue to pitch...
