Ignite vs Spitfires Double Header Canceled

July 16, 2026 - WAUSAU, WI.- The Wausau Ignite and Grand Forks Spitfires doubleheader set for July 16th has been canceled and will not be made up. Poor air quality due to the Canadian forest fires has been ruled too dangerous to play in. The season series between the Ignite and Spitfires will end 3-3 as the final two games will not be made up. Grand Forks currently sits a half-game ahead of Wausau in the standings. The Ignite will hit the road on Friday the 17th to face the Madison Mallards at Werner Park. First Pitch is set for 6:05 ... Wausau Gets Swept to Cap off Mankato Series

July 14, 2026 - The Wausau Ignite's three-game road trip to Mankato ends in a season-series-tying 6-1 loss. Mia Johnson's solo home run was the high point of a game that saw a full series of stagnant offense. How It Happened Mia Johnson (UW-Parkside) led off the game with a double. July 10, 2026 - A bullpen game from the Ignite in the final game of a three-game, two-day series saw a nail-biting finish with Mia Johnson (UW-Parkside) once again delivering in the biggest moments. Mia Wolf (Drake) struck her first collegiate home run while Mia Johnson struck her 14th, best for second in the Northwoods. How It Happened Mankato struck first. July 10, 2026 - Zoey Mills (EFSC) made history Thursday night, throwing Wausau's first shutout and taking the league lead in complete games in 2026 with 5. Cassidy Galls' (Drake) complete game and Mia Johnson's (UW-Parkside) three-home-run performance found a 10-9 walk-off victory in fantastic fashion.
