West Virginia Black Bears Announce 2026 Season Schedule
October 10, 2025 - The West Virginia Black Bears today announced another season of summer baseball at Kendrick Family Ballpark with the release of their 2026 season schedule. West Virginia begins its defense of the 2025 MLB Draft League Championship on the road against the Williamsport Crosscutters at Journey Bank Ballpark, Tuesday, June 2, before returning for its Home Opener on Tuesday, June 9.

September 5, 2025 - STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - The West Virginia Black Bears captured the 2025 MLB Draft League title with a 12-5 win over the State College Spikes in the championship game on Thursday evening. Playing through a steady rainfall, the Bears bested the Spikes at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park with 10 unanswered runs to win their third league title in four seasons.

Black Bears Fall Short in Home Finale against Scrappers
September 3, 2025 - GRANVILLE, W.Va. - The West Virginia Black Bears ended the regular season with a 3-2 loss to the Mahoning Valley Scrappers at Kendrick Family Ballpark on Wednesday evening.
Trey Cooper took the mound for the Black Bears and pitched another strong game. The starter finished seven innings allowing three runs on four hits with six strikeouts. Despite Cooper's solid start, the Bears struggled offensively, going just 2-9 with runners in scoring position and stranding five runners on base.
