Angel Piva Named Southern League Home Clubhouse Manager of the Year
November 11, 2025 - The Columbus Clingstones are proud to announce that Angel Piva was named Southern League Home Clubhouse Manager of the Year in an announcement by Minor League Baseball (MiLB) earlier today.
"Angel could not be more deserving of this award", said Clingstones general manager Pete Laven. "Especially with a brand new facility, his communication and professionalism made the transition easier for everyone involved from team to front office"

River Dragons Defeated by Thunderbirds in Second Half of Road Back-To-Back
November 8, 2025 - WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Columbus River Dragons fell to the Twin City Thunderbirds by a final score of 6-3 on Saturday night at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds Arena in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
At 5:01 of the first period, while on the power play, Brodie Thornton opened the scoring for Columbus, beating Boris Babik five-hole with a wrist shot to make it 1-0.
At 12:15, River Dragons defenseman Mike Winn was sent to the box for slashing, giving the Thunderbirds a power play.

November 7, 2025 - WINSTON-SALEM, NC - The Columbus River Dragons defeated the Twin City Thunderbirds by a final score of 4-3 on Friday night at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds Arena in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Tyler Roy was in net for the River Dragons, while Dysen Skinner started in goal for the Thunderbirds.
