Hugh Anderson Returns to Columbus for 2025-26

August 7, 2025 - COLUMBUS, Ga. - The Columbus River Dragons announced today that defenseman Hugh Anderson is set to return to the team for the 2025-26 season. The 26-year-old will begin his third year in the FPHL, having spent his entire professional career with Columbus. Anderson originally joined the River Dragons in February 2024, bolstering the blue line down the stretch of the regular season. Columbus Brings Back Brodie Thornton for Second Season

August 5, 2025 - COLUMBUS, Ga. - The Columbus River Dragons are proud to announce the return of defenseman Brodie Thornton for the 2025-26 season. Thornton, 26, was acquired from the Baton Rouge Zydeco on March 10, 2025, in a trade for goaltender Samuel Bernard. He recorded three assists in nine games with Columbus during the final stretch of the season, while adding two helpers in six playoff games. River Dragons Trade for Defenseman Josh Colten

July 31, 2025 - COLUMBUS, GA - The Columbus River Dragons announced today that the club has acquired defenseman Josh Colten from the Watertown Wolves in exchange for defenseman Andrey Simonchyk and additional considerations. Colten, 32, was acquired by the Wolves on May 22, 2025, through the Motor City Rockers dispersal draft.
