Forward Ryan Hunter Loaned to the ECHL's South Carolina Stingrays
January 10, 2026 - COLUMBUS, GA. - The Columbus River Dragons announced this morning that forward Ryan Hunter has been loaned to the South Carolina Stingrays of the ECHL.
Hunter, a 24-year-old forward out of Toronto, Ontario, has 37 points (21 goals, 16 assists) in 23 games played this season. At the time of his departure, his 21 goals were second in the FPHL, while his ten power-play goals were tied for the league lead.

January 9, 2026 - COLUMBUS, GA. - The Columbus River Dragons fell to the Blue Ridge Bobcats, 5-4, in overtime on Friday night at the Columbus Civic Center.
Columbus struck early, as leading point producer Tyler Barrow opened the scoring less than two minutes into the game by sliding a puck between the legs of Anthony Shrum.

Columbus Acquires Gritty Forward Skate Skalde
January 5, 2026 - COLUMBUS, GA. - The Columbus River Dragons announced today that the club has acquired Skate Skalde from the Indiana Sentinels in exchange for financial considerations.
Skalde, a 22-year-old forward from Orlando, Florida, has split his 2025-26 season between the Pee Dee IceCats and the SPHL's Birmingham Bulls.
The 6-foot, 175-pound forward turned professional during the 2023-24 season, appearing in 14 combined games with the Knoxville Ice Bears and Fayetteville Marksmen.
