Bison Fall Short in Comeback Bid Against Walleye

October 25, 2025 - Bloomington, Ill - The Bloomington Bison scored two third-period goals to cut their deficit in half but came up short in a comeback bid and eventually fell 6-2 to the Toledo Walleye at Grossinger Motors Arena Saturday. Both teams engaged in physical play to begin the rematch of Friday's action and the Bison controlled pace early. October 25, 2025 - CHARLOTTE, NC- The Checkers were able to secure a standings point in their rematch with the Penguins but couldn't quite nail down the win, falling in overtime 3-2. October 24, 2025 - Bloomington, Ill. - Parker Gavlas scored the game-winning goal late in the second period and the Bison killed two third-period penalties as the Bloomington Bison defeated the Toledo Walleye 4-2 at Grossinger Motors Arena Friday. Goaltender Callum Tung stopped all 15 shots against in the first period of his first Bison start, including a penalty shot attempt halfway through the frame and each team headed to intermission looking for offense. A fortunate bounce got the visitors on the board less than 90 seconds in, and that would prove to ultimately be the difference.
