Rock Finish Season with 18-17 OT Loss in Calgary

May 1, 2016 - Calgary, AB - The Calgary Roughnecks (8-10) dealt the Toronto Rock (5-13) their eighth road loss of the season with an 18-17 Calgary overtime decision on Saturday night at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta. The silver lining performance of the evening was Rob Hellyer's team record tying 7-goal game. Brett Hickey set the record just over a year ago with a 7-goal performance last spring against the Vancouver Stealth. Rock Drop 10-5 Decision to Mammoth

April 23, 2016 - Denver, CO - The Toronto Rock (5-12) continued to struggle on the road, losing 10-5 to the Colorado Mammoth (11-6) at Denver's Pepsi Center on Saturday night. The loss was the sixth in seven away games this season for the Rock. After a very tight first half that ended with Colorado leading 3-2, the Mammoth blew things open in the second half and pulled away outscoring the Rock 7-3 over the final 30 minutes. Rock Eliminated from Playoffs with 14-8 Loss to Bandits

April 16, 2016 - Buffalo, NY - The Toronto Rock (5-11) were officially eliminated from the playoffs on Saturday night with a 14-8 loss to the Buffalo Bandits (11-5) at First Niagara Center in Buffalo, NY. This marks just the third time in franchise history the Rock have failed to qualify for the post-season. Brock Sorensen Placed on Injured Reserve

April 16, 2016 - Oakville, ON - Toronto Rock owner, president and GM Jamie Dawick has announced two roster moves ahead of tonight's game in Buffalo against the Bandits. Defender Brock Sorensen has been moved to the Injured Reserve - Season Ending and defender Jamie Batson has been placed on the active roster from the injured reserve. Sorensen left last night's game against Buffalo in the third quarter with an apparent knee injury and will be re-evaluated this week by Rock medical staff.
