Rock Relieve John Lovell of Head Coaching Duties

May 10, 2016 - Oakville, ON - Toronto Rock owner, president and general manager Jamie Dawick announced today that he has relieved John Lovell as head coach of the Toronto Rock. Lovell was named head coach of the Rock following the 2013 season and had a 28-26 regular season record over three seasons as the Rock's bench boss. The veteran coach was also named NLL coach of the year after guiding the Rock to a 14-4 regular season in 2015 and a spot in the NLL Champion's Cup Final. Rob Hellyer Named April's NLL Player of the Month

May 6, 2016 - Oakville, ON - The National Lacrosse League has announced Toronto Rock forward Rob Hellyer as the Player of the Month and Georgia Swarm forward Randy Staats as Rookie of the Month for April of the 2016 NLL season. Hellyer posted 38 points during the month with 16 goals and 22 assists in six games played. He finished fourth in NLL scoring this year with 113 points, which marked the second-highest total in Rock single-season history. Rock Finish Season with 18-17 OT Loss in Calgary

May 1, 2016 - Calgary, AB - The Calgary Roughnecks (8-10) dealt the Toronto Rock (5-13) their eighth road loss of the season with an 18-17 Calgary overtime decision on Saturday night at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta. The silver lining performance of the evening was Rob Hellyer's team record tying 7-goal game. Rock Drop 10-5 Decision to Mammoth

April 23, 2016 - Denver, CO - The Toronto Rock (5-12) continued to struggle on the road, losing 10-5 to the Colorado Mammoth (11-6) at Denver's Pepsi Center on Saturday night. The loss was the sixth in seven away games this season for the Rock. After a very tight first half that ended with Colorado leading 3-2, the Mammoth blew things open in the second half and pulled away outscoring the Rock 7-3 over the final 30 minutes.
