Buccaneers Keep Battling Western Conference Opposition This Weekend

January 17, 2017 - The Des Moines Buccaneers are in the midst of an 11-game stretch playing all fellow Western Conference opponents and this weekend that continues with a road game against the Omaha Lancers on Friday and Saturday they host the Sioux City Musketeers. Des Moines has had success against Omaha as they've won all four games against the Lancers, yet Buccaneer Head Coach Dave Allison does not feel that gives his team any sort of advantage this Friday. Buccaneers Defeat Tri-City 2-1 Saturday at Buccaneer Arena

January 7, 2017 - The Des Moines Buccaneers bounced back a night after losing against the Tri-City Storm on the road and defeated the Storm at Buccaneer Arena 2-1 Saturday night. Des Moines made things difficult for Tri-City offensively in the opening period, surrendering just four shots on goal. January 7, 2017 - Des Moines was only outshot by three 27-24 but outscored by eight as they fell on the road 9-1 against the Tri-City Storm. The Des Moines Buccaneers were less than four minutes away from playing a great first road period but Logan Drevitch worked to snap a shot in tight from Jan Ruzicka's left and it left a rebound that Monte Graham pounced on at the 16:41 mark to give Tri-City their first lead against the Buccaneers on the season. Buccaneers Hold off Resilient Lancers 5-4 in Overtime

December 31, 2016 - Des Moines would never trail in the game and twice held a two goal lead but still would need overtime to defeat the Omaha Lancers 5-4 Friday night. David Keefer started the scoring when he slipped behind the defense and patiently waited at Omaha's blue line for Adam Parsells to hit him with a pass and from the right wing side snapped a shot under Tommy Nappier's blocker 3:46 into the game.
