Hartford Yard Goats News Release

HARTFORD - No Vladimir Guerrero Jr., no problem for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. One day after the Toronto Blue Jays announced their number one prospect would be promoted to AAA Buffalo, Bo Bichette and Forrest Wall delivered big nights as first place New Hampshire continued its dominance over the Hartford Yard Goats with a 12-2 win, before 6,850 at Dunkin' Donuts Park Saturday night. It was Hartford's 32nd sellout of the season. The Yard Goats are the first Eastern League club to go over the 300,000 mark in attendance (306,575).

Bichette, the son of former major league player Dante Bichette, belted a home run and two doubles, while knocking in five runs. Wall, who homered against his former club on Thursday night in his first game as a Fisher Cat, had a double, two singles and three runs scored, as New Hampshire (59-44) defeated the Yard Goats for the 15th time in 17 games this season and improved to 10-0 at Dunkin' Donuts Park. Hartford (49-54) has lost five straight.

New Hampshire put the game away with a four-run first inning, started by a Wall's lead-off single. A two-run double by Harold Ramirez and a two-run single by Santiago Espinal rounded out the scoring in the frame against starter Frank Duncan, who pitched four innings and allowed seven runs on eight hits. DeGraff, who pitched six innings to notch the victory, allowed one run on six hits. He walked two and struck out three.

Sam Tidaback led Hartford's nine-hit offense with a single and a double. Sam Hilliard added an RBI-double while Mylz Jones knocked in the Yard Goats' other run on a ground out. Wall and Bichette each had three hits to pace New Hampshire's 14-hit attack.

The series, Hartford Whalers Alumni weekend and home stand wrap up Sunday afternoon at 5:05 PM. LHP Evan Grills will pitch for the Yard Goats against RHP T.J. Zeuch for New Hampshire.

The game will be televised on Vantage Sportsnet, broadcast on AM 1410 WPOP and streamed on newsradio1410.iheart.com and MiLB.com.
