Mavericks Add Scott Wamsganz to Roster

INDEPENDENCE, MO - The Missouri Mavericks announced Monday afternoon that they have acquired forward Scott Wamsganz from the Orlando Solar Bears (ECHL) in exchange for future considerations.

The rookie left winger from Anchorage, AK started his season with the Solar Bears, appearing in 7 games with Orlando. Wamsganz played 4 seasons at Colorado College (NCAA) before starting his pro career, totaling 8 goals and 11 assists his senior year.

The 6'4", 209lb skater will wear number 26 for the Missouri Mavericks.

The Missouri Mavericks also announced Monday afternoon that rookie John Schiavo has been released from his standard player contract (SPC). Schiavo, who was loaned to Missouri from the Macon Mayhem (SPHL) in late November, notched 1 assist in 5 games with the Mavericks.

The Missouri Mavericks are on the road for the next two weeks before they return home to Silverstein Eye Centers Arena on Friday, Jan. 22nd. Fans are encouraged to catch all the Mavericks hockey action at one of the Mavs' three Official Watch Party Destinations: Rock & Brews- Overland Park, The Blue Line, and Drumm Farm Golf Club.
